Scholarship And Awards
The college extends financial aid and rewards deserving students. A number of economically underprivileged UG and PG students are given
financial aid through the scholarship scheme initiated by the Management. BHSHES has instituted a number of endowment prizes. Retired faculty
members and serving faculty members have instituted awards for students excelling in university examination, cultural activities and sports.

Meritorious students are awarded prizes. BHSHES has instituted prizes in the names of the members of the BHS Higher Education Society philanthropists and lectures who have serived in various institutions of the society. Apart from this staff members of the college have also instituted prizes.

Vijaya College, Jayanagar, erstwhile BHS First Grade College took its genesis in July 1989 under the BHS Managing Committee's(now BHS Higher Education Society) holistic awning. What ideated in 1988 germinated and took form in 1989 as BHS First Grade College.
The college motto 'Excellence in education' shines bright with the students' achievements in academics and extracurricular activities. With a humble inception, brick by brick the institution set out to add value to education and purpose to the courses offered.
