SWAN is an initiative of the college to sensitive young minds to issues concerning environment and ecology. This of late has become so critically important for the survival of human race. Through regular interactions with conservationists and ecologists students are exposed to issues such as extinction of tigers, receding Himalayan glacers, increase in global temperatures etc.,. Several activities like photography exhibitions, awareness campaigns, sapling plantation drive etc., are organized. Students are also taken on Nature trails, outdoor camps and bird watching expeditions.

Activities 2017-2018

  • Recycling of Blue books. Recycled books distributed in the college and also to Geetha Education Trust, Jayanagar.
  • SWAN volunteers participate in Seed Ball Campaign.
  • Campaign against the use of ‘Plaster of Paris’ Ganesha idols during Ganesha festival.
  • Students taught to make clay Ganesha.
  • Trek to Turahalli forest.
  • ‘Say No to Crackers’ campaign before Deepavalli
